These experience, or so called volunteer tourism, can be specifically tailored to suit an individual, group interested, whether it be rafting, bird watching, nature trekking, mountain biking, snorkelling, diving or sea canoeing etc. Tell us your requirement and let us arrange your itinerary : )
Tripperteer was found by Khun Thanaphat and his colleage, Nanticha, who strongly believe in a model of sustainable tourism. Realizing a need of local NGOs for man-power and funding issues together with a need to offer tourists an opportunity to travel sustainably, Tripperteer have created an organization that fills this gap at a combination of learning, contributing, developing and enjoying holiday experience.
The idea for Tripperteer started when I was a volunteer co-ordinator for a local Non-Profit-Organization in Thailand. At the project, one main duty for volunteer we assigned is to educate visitors about the wildlife situation in Thailand that was tragedy used to attract mass tourism. Many years later a number of visitors came back and reported us about where they have seen it and asked if that they can volunteering with us for a day. This is mainly because most visitors have limited time to spend in foreign destinations.
From this point, me and my colleage sat and debated about the idea of offering visitors with fun learning experience with a taste of volunteering. By doing this, we believe that it will create less impact to the destination. In fact, it is the best way that generate a win / win situation to both visitors and a host country.
